INTRODUCING THE 2-YEARS INTEGRATED COURSE
Legacy IAS Academy introduces the 2-Years Integrated Course for UPSC Civil Services Exam preparation to groom students for being well-equipped and on par with the level of competition that prevails in the toughest exam in India! The 2-Years Integrated Course is well-designed for covering the syllabus in the most comprehensive and exhaustive manner to put even an aspirant who joined as a beginner, on the same level as a ‘repeater’ who has previously reached the interview stage.
The course duration allows for a student to cover each and every micro-topic and apply the knowledge gained in writing top-notch answers by simply practicing and revising and covering all weaknesses. Since the student will be covering the entire syllabus more than once over a longer-duration, the approach allows for a calmer and measured approach to maximizing the potential for achieving a rank within the top 100 rather than just being present in the final selection list.
The 2-Years Integrated Course is the right choice for…
Any aspirant will be benefitting from the ample amount of time, revisions and practice that is possible through the 2-Years Integrated course. Joining this course will clearly erase any doubts one may have along the lines of “Am I giving myself enough time to prepare?” or “Will I be able to do what is required to clear the exam before appearing?”. We can guarantee you that your unyielding efforts through the entire course is more than sufficient to put yourself in the best position to get a good rank in the Civil Services Exam.
Although anyone can take up the 2-Years Integrated course, it is most ideal for:
- Students who are in the penultimate year of their graduation degree and aiming to give the UPSC exam in their final semester,
- Working professionals who have the need to stretch their preparation due to a lack of time,
- Beginners who are targeting the coveted top 100 rank in their first attempt and have the resources and time needed to prepare for 2-years in a row, and
- Aspirants who are currently dealing with other commitments in life that would eat up their time for preparation.
Details of Legacy IAS Academy’s 2-Years Integrated Course
The 2-Years Integrated Course provided by Legacy IAS Academy can be thought of as a 2-stage programme.
- The First stage is akin to the Prelims-cum-Mains Course provided by Legacy IAS Academy, with the primary focus on building a solid foundation for fundamental concepts in the General Studies subjects of both Prelims and Mains.
- The Second stage is aimed at providing a higher level of understanding, reinforcement and application of knowledge in both GS subjects as well as the Optional Subject, similar to the Foundation Course.
Building the right foundation is key to maximize the benefits of preparation and hence the knowledge base will be built up gradually from the level of NCERT Books to advanced concepts in the Standard books through the first stage of the 2-Years Integrated Course. Along with the knowledge base, other fundamental skills such as newspaper-reading, notes preparation, Mains answer-writing etc., will be developed in the first stage.
Once you have “covered” all the topics for the first time and learnt how to make notes and write answers for the Mains exam, you will now be ready to take your preparation to the next level. The concepts in the GS subjects will be covered once again in the second stage, however, it will be much different as you will be learning to draw conclusions and form correlations between the concepts in different subjects, along with relating everything that you learn with Current Affairs and Mains answers. The second stage will not only reinforce the knowledge gained through practice and revisions, but also take your thought-process and answer-writing skills to the next level.
Benefits of taking up the 2-Years Integrated Course

The truth is that – it is not just about completing the syllabus by attending classes, but it is actually about putting in extra effort towards utilizing what was taught into writing answers – that helps you in clearing the exam.
LIMITED BATCH SIZE TO DELIVER PROMISES
- Each of our batches is limited to no more than 40 students to help towards the cause of providing individual attention.
- We do NOT believe in dividing our resources and increasing the number of students as it reduces the delivery efficiency and we can also understand the adverse effects of sitting in a classroom packed with over hundred students. Hence, we have a high faculty-to-student ratio in every batch to facilitate for effective mentoring of students during their preparation with sufficient individual attention and engagement in the classroom.

However, a sizeable proportion of our students are from outside Karnataka and these students reside in the numerous Paying Guest (PG) facilities close to the institute.
Jayanagar, being a prime residential locality in Bangalore has a large number of PGs available to students within a 2 kilometer radius around the institute. Students can avail accommodation for reasonable charges at these PGs and be a part of the UPSC focused ecosystem than prevails here.
Legacy IAS Academy does NOT directly provide for residence or hostel facilities, but we will provide you with assistance regarding availing accommodation in the PGs around the institute.
Students enrolled to either the Offline classes or the Live-Online classes will be provided with Study Materials in the form of Modules for each of the Static Subjects along with Monthly Compilations of Current Affairs and other Miscellaneous materials as applicable.
As far as the Online students within India are concerned, physical copies of the study materials will be sent to their address via. post upon request.
Apart from the Modules and Compilations, content such as Daily Current Affairs, Editorial Analysis, PIB Summaries, Static and CA Quizzes will be shared online through links.
