Strategy To Crack UPSC Interview 2022

UPSC interview preparation is a crucial part for an aspirant who wishes to appear for the Civil Services Examination. It requires a deep understanding of the topics, an in-depth knowledge of the political, social and economic issues of the country and a good command over the language.

To prepare for the UPSC interview, the aspirant must first understand the structure and pattern of the interview. The interview consists of a Personality Test, which is an evaluation of a candidate’s mental abilities, personality traits, knowledge of current affairs, his/her attitude towards life, etc. It is conducted by a panel of five members, usually headed by a chairman.

The next step is to prepare the Detailed Application Form (DAF). The DAF is a document which contains a candidate’s personal details, educational qualifications, work experience, interests, hobbies and achievements. It is important to fill the DAF correctly, as it is the first impression the panel has of the candidate.

The aspirant must also have a good knowledge of his/her hobbies and interests. This is important to demonstrate to the panel that he/she is passionate and committed to pursuing them. The candidate should also be aware of the current issues in his/her hometown and the state he/she lives in. This will help him/her to answer questions related to the region and its problems.

The candidate must also be aware of his/her parents’ profession and the kind of work they do. This will help the panel to understand the candidate’s background and his/her family circumstances.

Lastly, the aspirant should revise his/her graduate subject. This will help him/her to answer questions related to the subject and also to understand the topics better.

Overall, the aspirant should be well prepared for the UPSC interview, both in terms of knowledge and attitude. He/she should have a positive attitude and should be open to learning new things. A thorough preparation of the topics, along with the knowledge of the DAF, hobbies, hometown issues and parent’s profession will help the aspirant to perform well in the interview.
