This program is also for the repeaters who have already taken the coaching classes from anywhere and now want to continue their preparation either with or without taking up a job.

2. Repeaters i.e., those who already prepared classroom program once.
Also, if students of the above two categories join Self-Learning Program for UPSC with Mentorship, the Mentors at Legacy IAS academy will guide you through your plan and strategy regularly.
Scope of the Self-Learning Program (SLP)
This SLP (Self-Learning Program for UPSC) program is a comprehensive program covering all the three stages of the UPSC Civil Services Exam, viz., Prelims, Mains, and Interview.
In this program, Legacy IAS Academy’s Team will support you in your preparation with daily study targets at a micro-topic level, provide regular tests, impart feedback on progress, tests and answers – all of this while providing mentorship at regular intervals. So this whole package put together with your assiduous efforts will make your preparation as meticulous as it needs to be for clearing the UPSC Civil Services Exam.
A study plan isn’t just about a timetable.
A study plan is much more than a timetable because it should encompass the methodology to deal with the preparation, strategy to cover all the gaps, and prior planning that is required for solving the problems that may arise in each subject by an aspirant.
For a successful pursuit of a UPSC rank through Self-Learning, you will need:
Time! If you start your preparation at the earliest, you are essentially giving yourself the greatest odds of success. Do NOT postpone your preparation in the expectation of a ‘perfect time’ to start; instead, start at the earliest and make it the perfect start you could have. You can start with Legacy IAS Academy’s SLP program to give you a boost by starting right now.
- Effective use of Time! Just starting early will do you no good if you end up wasting time on unimportant fragments of preparation. You need to acclimatize yourself with the trends of the exam to know what is important to read and what is not. Apart from this, you also need to know how to prepare and where to prepare from, for each portion of the syllabus that is to be covered, in order to effectively use your time and maximize your progress. Our SLP will provide you with the right strategy and study-plan to effectively cover the syllabus.
- Limited Resources! Keeping your sources minimal and following the best sources that are available is one of the key steps in effectively using your time. Start with the Basics in NCERTs for each subject and as you progress – limit yourself to JUST ONE standard book per subject until you truly master that one book. Legacy IAS Academy’s SLP will provide you with the study material and recommended standard books.
- Setting Small Goals for the Big Dream! As one of your main targets is to cover the entire syllabus in a comprehensive manner, you must divide the syllabus into topics and sub-topics while assigning time and the estimated level of importance. These can be considered as sub-goals and you must complete them in a time-bound manner. To help you with this meticulous task, the SLP program will provide you with a ‘Daily plan’ breaking down the topics to be covered in the bases of number of hours.
- Measuring Progress! In order to make sure that while covering the sub-topics, you are still along the right path at the right pace, you need to test yourself and understand where you are lagging behind. This is by far the most crucial step in your preparation as without testing yourself you will be blindly moving ahead in a haphazard manner. As a part of the SLP Program we will be giving you access to the Prelims and Mains Test-Series along with support and guidance as add-ons.
- Staying Motivated and Focused! Just as important as it is test oneself, it is also important to stay focused and remain diligent without losing the impetus to act. As a part of the SLP program you can also take up Personal Guidance to have an expert mentor guide you along every step of your preparation while providing you with invaluable insights and feedback.
Last but not the least, no study plan can be successful if it is not followed and executed sincerely. Your dedication and consistency is what sets you apart from the others and dictates your success.
