Q: Who is the course ideal for?
A: The course is designed for Serious UPSC Aspirants aspiring for UPSC CSE 2026. It is a one stop solution for both First Time UPSC Aspirants as well as Experienced UPSC Aspirants.
Q: How does this UPSC Test Series help beginners who are starting from scratch?
A: This Test Series is designed especially for beginners who are starting from scratch.
Experienced Aspirants with gaps in preparation can also choose this Test Series.
This test series covers the syllabus comprehensively from the NCERTs, Standard Books, Current Affairs as well as PYQs and PYQ based questions as well.
Q: What is the Duration of the Test Series?
A: The test series shall be there up to your Prelims Examination.
All the Tests shall be completed before Prelims 2026.
Q: What is the duration of the course?
A: The course duration will be more than 15 months as we will guide the successful candidates up to the last stage of UPSC CSE, i.e., the Personality Test.
Q: Will I get study material?
A: Yes, you will be provided with study material for both Prelims and Mains. It will consist of the entire GS Syllabus covering all the GS Subjects. The same shall be in printed form to every enrolled student.
Q: What if I miss a class?
A: We encourage you to attend all the classes. However, if due to genuine reasons you miss a class, you shall have access to the class recordings on the Legacy IAS Academy Portal.
Q: Till when will I be able to access the class recordings?
A: You will have access to the recordings for over a year till the end of September 2026, by when your UPSC CSE Mains Examination will be completed. You can watch these recordings any number of times as we do not put restrictions on an Aspirant’s learning.
Q: Are there any restrictions on the portal with respect to the number of devices or the number of times the lectures can be watched?
A: There are no restrictions on the number of times a video can be watched. You can use your account from up to 2 separate devices.
Q: What is the medium of instruction?
A: English Medium. However, select bilingual assistance can be provided. Please check with the office for more details.
Q: How frequently are current affairs covered?
A: Current Affairs for UPSC CSE is covered on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis in an integrated manner for both Prelims and Mains to ensure a comprehensive 360° coverage of Current Affairs. Daily Current Affairs Magazine and PIB Summaries along with Practice Questions are provided. Weekly Live classes of the entire week’s current affairs take place throughout the day on Tuesday/Wednesday. Monthly Compilation of the Current Affairs as well as the practice questions are uploaded on the portal.
Q: Will I get answer writing practice as part of the course?
A: Yes. The course includes regular answer writing at the end of each chapter with relevance for the Main examination. Most importantly, individualized feedback from experienced faculties is provided.
Q: Will there be specific answer writing classes?
A: Yes, your classes will include special classes for GS Mains Answer writing, in which you will be taught the art of answer writing in detail so as to master the Answer writing for UPSC CSE Mains.
Q: Will there be essay writing practice?
A: Yes, you shall be provided with Test Series for Mains which shall cover Essay Tests as well. In addition to this, you shall also have special classes for Essay writing in which you will be taught the art of essay writing.
Q: Is there any guidance for optional subjects, if not chosen from Legacy IAS?
A: While the course you have opted for might exclude the optional, we shall provide guidance with respect to Optionals available at the institute. For other optionals, it is advisable to get guidance from subject-specific experts.
Q: What support is provided after the course ends?
A: Post-course, students can get access to the following: Test series (at a heavily discounted price), Recordings (at a heavily discounted price), Interview guidance if selected for the UPSC Personality Test (Free).
Q: Are library or reading room facilities available?
A: Yes, enrolled students have free access to the Legacy IAS Study Center till the completion of the Syllabus. There shall be provision of Wi-Fi, AC, Biometric Access, Toilets, and daily newspapers.
Q: What kind of mentorship is provided?
A: Each student is allotted a mentor for academic guidance, motivational support, and preparation planning. Mentorship sessions are one-on-one and scheduled regularly based on the requirement of the student. There shall be a track record of each student.
Q: Will I be able to interact with teachers for doubts?

Q: How is CSAT prepared for in the course?
A: CSAT will be taught comprehensively by a CSAT Expert faculty from IIT. CSAT Classes shall be conducted every week from the initial phase of preparation. Q: Are parents allowed to track attendance/speak to mentors or coordinators?

Q: Will I get a certificate after completing the course?
A: No, students will not receive a Course Completion Certificate. But we can provide a Bonafide Certificate to ascertain your presence/attendance in the course at Legacy IAS.
Q: What’s the difference between Edge and LEEP test series?
A: Both are Test Series with different levels of intensity. LEEP (Legacy’s Elite Endeavour Programme) focuses on both Prelims and Mains together, with test frequency being 2 tests per week. Edge Series is more intensive with almost 5 tests a week. It also comes with discussions after the tests. It has 2 variants – One for Prelims and another for Mains.

Q: Can I shift from offline to online mid-course?
A: Yes, based on valid reasons, transfers are allowed once during the course. Approval from the administration is required. However, an online-to-offline shift is not allowed without the payment of the adjusted fee amount. Also, this shift is dependent on seat vacancy in your batch for offline.
