(d) Statement-I is incorrect but Statement-II is correct

Answer: C

The correct answer is (c).

Statement-I is correct. The Constitution Day is celebrated on 26th November every year to promote constitutional values among citizens. The Constitution of India was adopted on 26th November, 1949, and it came into force on 26th January, 1950. The Constitution is the supreme law of India, and it sets out the fundamental rights and duties of all citizens.

Statement-II is incorrect. On 26th November, 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Draft Constitution of India. The Draft Constitution was prepared by a Drafting Committee under the chairmanship of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The Draft Constitution was then sent to the various states for their comments and suggestions. After the states had submitted their comments and suggestions, the Draft Constitution was amended and adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26th November, 1949.

Therefore, Statement-I is correct but Statement-II is incorrect.
